  • Always use Edge's microfiber cleaning pouch. This eliminates the possibility of scratches, damage to coatings such as Vapor Shield and extends the life of the glass. Store the glass in the cleaning bag when not in use to maximize the life of the glass and prevent possible further damage. Never use chemicals to clean these lenses as it can also damage coatings prematurely. Normal wear and tear and perspiration will degrade the coatings over time. This time is different for each person and their acidity and/or the corrosive environment in which they work. Water can be used to clean the lenses, but depending on the chemicals in the water, it can eventually degrade the coatings prematurely. Never use anti-fog spray on a Vapor Shield coated lens. This will cause damage to the glass as they are two different types of anti-fog systems that are applied differently. Using a lens cleaning tissue may shorten the life of the coating.
